Transcription: The old Supreme Court chamber was the first room built for the nation's highest judiciary body, the Supreme Court. The room, designed and engineered by Benjamin Henry Latrobe, appears as it did during the 1850s. This chamber was originally used by the Senate until 1808, when the Senate relocated to the second and third floors. Two years later, in 1810, the Supreme Court moved into this room and remained here until 1960.
